Location: Camden, NJ onsite at 3PL partner’s office
This position will be responsible for inbound and outbound transportation encompassing the execution of daily operations through third party Distribution Centers, Co-packers and Manufacturing Plants throughout the US & Canada. Accountable for the procurement of freight contracts of customer freight, replenishment, inbound raw materials and packaging, shuttles, inter-warehouse transportation and returns. Additional responsibilities will include carrier outsourcing, carrier selection management, network optimization support, managing contracted carrier and IMC relationships and freight settlement though internal AP processes.
This role will report to the Director of North America Transportation and will directly manage Transportation 3PL partners as well as own the relationships, contracting and fiduciary responsibility of the Domestic Transportation network providers including truckload, intermodal, LTL, small package providers.
Obligations for this function will also include responsibility of Safety, Legal and Regulatory compliance ensuring that federal, state and contractual regulations are adhered to. In addition, this position will be charged with developing departmental budgets and implementing controls necessary to keep expenditures within budgetary limitations.
There will be a heavy emphasis on developing and managing performance, KPI metrics, modeling, and special projects. Total spend and responsibility exceeds $70 million.
