Join a fast-paced and talented EDS Commercial 3PD Data team This position will provide a support function within the Commercial Third Party Data (3PD) Team.

The role will be focused on managing vendors within the commercial space, identifying alternative sources as appropriate and supporting team strategic asset owners with a variety of initiatives.

Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

The Hartford is proud to offer a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility. This partial remote position requires in office presence Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday with remote work flexibility Monday and Friday and is located in Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities :

  • Management of commercial data vendor relationships including contract renewals and funding, vendor management, new contracting, escalation and issue management, documentation and being the bridge and conduit through the processes.
  • Support 2-3 team members with a variety of administrative tasks as well as support on other strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with commercial business customers, to support 3PD objectives, including identifying sources, expansion of existing capabilities & governance requirements.
  • Participate in select strategic initiatives exhibiting thought leadership by providing insightful input.
  • Document processes to add consistency and compliance within the team
  • Demonstrate strength in information retention, ability to research and bridge insight on capability offerings for 3PD data.
  • Bring natural curiosity and interest in 'knowing the data' we procure and have an interest in how this data is leveraged.
  • Interest and baseline knowledge of running light queries in snowflake.
  • Manage own time and workload efficiently and balance multiple priorities to fulfill all commitments within established timeframes.
  • Natural curiosity, strong work ethic, interest in learning and expanding knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to bring new ideas forward to enable operational efficiencies.
  • Have some technical aptitude and interest, a desire to learn and understand what 3PD data does and how it adds value in.

Interest in learning and executing basic queries in snowflake.

  • Participate in enterprise forums related to innovation, governance, AI / GenAI & regulatory changes
  • Act as liaison and consultant between the business and vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Understands the scope of the project and helps resolve scope questions and issues related to own work.

Qualifications :

  • 3 years of experience in underwriting, business requirements and / or data analysis supporting the Insurance industry preferred
  • Must be detail oriented; able to challenge existing norms, bring forth new ideas to create operational efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Solid understanding of quality evaluation processes / principles
  • Proven ability to act with integrity and respect (understands nature of work is confidential and will act accordingly)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work across all levels and areas within the organization.
  • Contribute to the customer's success by troubleshooting issues, researching, and providing recommendations that streamline workflows.
  • Ability to work independently to drive results.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.

The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.

The annualized base pay range for this role is :

$92,480 - $138,720
