The HC Companies is one of the leaders in horticultural container companies serving the needs of professional growers, grower distributors, retail garden centers and mass merchandisers in the Greenhouse, Nursery and Consumer markets. We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator on 2nd shift in the Printing department. Seeking individuals who want to be part of a team, have a can-do attitude and has the willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Job Description:

• Ability to make minor adjustments to the machine to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ability to inspect finished product and pack according to company standards.
• Must be able to perform minor routine maintenance on equipment including maintaining ink levels, clearing jams and cleaning plates and blankets.
• Must be able to assist with training of new employees.
• Must be able to read product Specification Sheets.
• Must be able to work safely and foster a safe work environment.
• Support all company policies and procedures including 5S and focused work teams.

Qualifications:

• Shift available: 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday.
• Additional $0.50/hr. Shift Differential for working the graveyard shift.
• Training on 1st or 2nd shift for a period of time, then would move to the 2nd shift.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Basic Skills: Critical thinking, reading comprehension and basic calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 25-pound boxes.
• Excellent attendance record.
