Overview:
The Heather Highlands Inn Manager is a full-time, year-round, salaried position. This role supports two Associations assisting the ownership and Board of Directors with Association and Rental Management. This position works closely with the Owner Services staff, Boyne Design
Group, Lodging, Maintenance, Security and Housekeeping to meet or exceed the property Owners’ and Associations expectations. Successful candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and a significant aptitude for managing many varied tasks and assignments simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Board of Directors of each Association in performing the responsibilities set forth in the Master Documents and the Management Contract.
  • Liaison between Resort, board members and homeowners.
  • Responsible for the orientation and welcoming of new homeowners, sharing benefits of ownership and participation in our exclusive rental program.
  • Conduct regular inspection walks of the property.
  • Communicate and assist accounting team with HOA bookkeeping functions, to include bill pay, generating purchase orders, owner billing, collections, and revenue distribution.
  • Assist with revenue and expense management reporting for owners in the rental program.
  • Responsible for assisting with the HOA annual budget, quarterly financials, and expense control.
  • Create communications as needed to the Board of Directors and Ownership regarding HOA business, quarterly update, annual budget, maintenance, project updates and other communications as directed or needed.
  • Coordinate and attend all Annual Board Meetings and Special Meetings of the Associations in accordance with the MasterDocuments.
  • Conduct annual unit reviews and work with the owners to maintain and enhance the units as required in the design overview.
  • Review annually the Associations Insurance policies for compliance. In addition, obtain bids or audit policies as directed by the Board of Directors.
  • Respond to maintenance and housekeeping needs, coordinate work with outside vendors and in house departments and follow up for completion.
  • Arrange for preventive maintenance as specified in Rental Management Agreement and for Common Areas as articulated in the Master Documents or Management Contract.
  • Work in conjunction with the Vacation Home Attendant, inspecting owner units.
  • Must be able to recognize and identify general maintenance and repair needs and follow up for completion.
  • Investigate guest or owner disturbances, violations, or complaints and resolve problems in accordance with the policy established by the Board of Directors and The Highlands.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Owners, including making special arrangements, accommodations or assisting with a service recovery opportunity.
  • Act as concierge and follow up on owner communications, requests, reservations, and dues billing inquires.
  • Assist with administration of events and owner recognition.
  • Attend Owner Services events and activities as requested.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc.)
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Capable of working with changing priorities and responsibilities, as new needs arise.
  • Willingness to learn and be open to training and feedback.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with owners, co-workers, management, and other departments.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, and patience.
Physical Demands: Occasional carrying and lifting.

Work Environment: Office Setting
Position type and expected hours of work: This position will be required to represent the department at events that fall in the evenings, on
the weekends or holidays.
This resort operates seven (7) days a week, twenty- four (24) hours per day. All team members must realize this fact and be willing to hold a
flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel: Around campus, must possess a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle
