Job DescriptionPosition Summary
Our School seeks committed, collaborative, and passionate faculty members to join our growing Pre-1 through 5th-grade Elementary School Program for the 2023 - 2024 school year. New members join a staff where mentorship, professional development, and faculty support are central to teacher culture. Candidates who look toward their own growth as educators, with the ultimate goal of creating exciting learning experiences for all students, will thrive in our fast-paced and engaged campus life. At our school, we value the vital balance between carefully articulated, implemented, curricula/programming, with a desire to examine new innovative approaches to engage 21st-century learners. Faculty Responsibilities Include:
  • Designing and implementing project-based, multidisciplinary instructional units aligned across all academic domains
  • Incorporating SEL curriculum and practice within the academic program
  • Developing dynamic, engaging, learning opportunities that interconnect school subjects including English, Judaics, Math, Science, Technology, and History
  • Collaborating with grade-level colleagues to plan, integrate, and enhance instruction in all curricular areas
  • Collaborating regularly with Grade 1 and Grade 3 teachers to ensure alignment of curricular goals and skills
  • Attending all professional development days arranged/calendared by the School,
  • Seeking out additional educational growth opportunities outside of Hillel
  • Attending and actively participating in all Orientation days
  • Participating in special school events including, but not limited to, Open House, Back to School Night, grade level trips, and special student performances. Attendance at all other community/school events is encouraged
  • Being visibly and actively present and on time for all other assigned duties on campus
Professional Requirements include:
  • A four-year degree from a college or university.
  • A Valid teaching credential, Master's Degree and/or previous elementary school teaching experience
Additional Preferred Training:
  • Readers and Writers Workshop training
  • Responsive Classroom Training
  • Illustrative Math training
