A growing CPG company with retail and e-commerce operations is expanding its accounting team with a Senior Accounting Manager. Reporting to the CEO and Founder, the Controller will oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting for multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting processes, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO
- Partner with the internal team to organize all accounting information for the external accounting firm
- Develop and implement SOPs for all critical accounting and payroll functions
- Prepare and disseminate reports to upper management including monthly financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and consolidation
- Oversee reconciliations of key accounts, including manufacturing, retail, lease accounting, payroll, etc.
- Research technical accounting issues for GAAP compliance
- Prepare summarized month-end reporting for the senior management team around product costs, month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter improvements, and cost drivers
- Oversee the preparation of net revenue, cost accounting, and other reimbursement-related reports
- Oversee AP function including expense reporting, capitalization, purchase order procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- CPA license preferred
- 5 years of experience in a corporate controller or accounting manager role, preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, BOM, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
- Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting team
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, QuickBooks is a plus
