Accounting Manager/Controller

Calling all Accounting Manager/Controller candidates! We’ve partnered with an insurance agency in the Newton/Needham area, looking to bring a new AM/Controller to join their growing team.

This position is a direct hire-permanent position.

The right candidate for this opening must have 3-5 years of accounting/financial management experience. Must have previous experience maintaining balance sheets, schedules and ledgers. Must have the ability to hand monthly closes/ month end reporting. Must have experience with forecasting requirements, draft annual budgets, and project expenditures to prepare periodic statements and meet financial regulatory requirements. Must be proficient in Excel- include automating repetitive tasks, creating sophisticated financial models, and streamlining data analysis.

• Pay: $80,000-90,000K
• Days/Hours: M-F, 9:00-5:00pm- 40/hrs./wk.
• This will require this person to work on a hybrid schedule of 3-days on-site, 2-days remote (On-site days
• Must have both first and second covid vaccinations.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check

Job Details:

• Accounting, including maintenance of balance sheets, schedules and ledgers
• Monthly closes of the three entities
• Assistance with preparation for the annual external audits for the three entities
• Assistance with preparation for the periodic examinations by the MA Division of Banks
• Assistance with ongoing analysis of member credit unions
• Assistance with the preparation of quarterly financial information to be submitted to Audit and Investment Committees
• Assistance with accounting, finance, and operations projects
• Other finance and treasury related functions
