Senior Tax Accountant

Established boutique accounting firm is hiring for a Senior Tax Accountant. Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, the ideal candidate will assist on all aspects of tax accounting, tax planning and preparing Federal / State Income tax returns. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 2 years of relevant experience out of an accounting firm looking to join a team that provides room for growth and a visible work/life balance. Responsibilities

• Preparation of corporate, partnership, individual and trust income tax returns, including multi-state returns
• Responsible for knowing all tax filing deadlines and ensuring that the tax team meets these deadlines for multiple tax returns
• Tax planning and income tax projections for businesses and individual
• Analyze client information and offer recommendations for reducing client tax liabilities
• Preparation of moderate-complex high net worth individual, trust, and tax-exempt entity tax returns
• Ensures tax returns are prepared in accordance with the terms of the various governing documents and applicable federal tax and state law

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 years of relevant experience out of an accounting firm
• Experience with ProSeries, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite or other accounting software a plus
• Ability to work independently and creatively to handle a diverse workload and multiple deadlines
• Self-motivated, team player who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
