The HR SOURCE is Hiring a Hr generalist Near New York, NY

Essential JobFunctions :

1. Assists in humanresource transactional functions i.e. payroll processinggarnishments and benefits preparing and approving invoices forpayment and maintaining accurate information in the human resourceinformation system (HRIS);

2. Preparesthe sixweek Home Master Schedule ensuring State mandated minimumstaffing requirements are achieved. Coordinates with individualnursing community supervisors to ensure employee skill level andassignments represent an effective match.

  • Receives and processesrequests for special days off vacations and sickleave;
  • 3. Prepares and posts the dailyschedule for assisted living and nursingcommunities;

4. Receives and documentsdaily attendance (call outs lateness etc). Notifies supervisor ofstaffing changes and coordinates coverage if warranted.

Consultswith human resources director when a violation of policy hasoccurred for further action;

5.Assists in fullcycle talent management recruiting includingworkforce planning sourcing advertising pre screening interviewingreference / background checks and selection.

  • Assists in the conductof new employee orientation. Rerecruits current employees bypromoting positive employee relations and suggesting costeffectiveretention incentives to the Homeleadership;
  • 6. Conducts training needsanalysis develops curriculum program and facilitates learningsessions for employees supervisors;
  • 7.Assists with other human resource functions including tasksassociated with strategic management health / safety and security andemployee relations;

8. Preparesmanagementlevel reports (demographics overtime department budgetreports annual salary report etc.) as well as regulatory responses(annual E01 and OSHA 300 reportsetc.)

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • A High School Diploma complimented bycoursework / credentials in human resources bookkeeping accountingbusiness or other relevant training / professional credentials may beconsidered an acceptable alternative to a collegedegree;
  • 3 years of recent successfulexperience gained while working in a similar capacity / professionaloffice environment. Successful experience should include userlevelexposure to biweekly payroll and benefit processing fullcyclerecruiting for exempt and nonexempt positions schedulingresponsibility employee relations HRIS maintenance andinvestigations;

Ability to meetemployees supervisors religious Sisters and residents with ease; tocommunicate the written and spoken word with tact diplomacy andgentleness.

This position has frequent contact with colleaguessupervisors religious Sisters Home Administration residents familymembers and serviceproviders);

A healthcare industry background is highly desired

  • Strongorganizational ability coupled with the ability to meet deadlinesand work well under pressure;
  • Solidcomputer skills are essential (Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint theInternet and email). Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases;
  • Previous experience with commonly encountered software (Paycor) isdesired;
