Position Summary:
As part of the IT Infrastructure Team, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will play a role in providing technical expertise in Cloud technologies and supporting company migration to Cloud, including but not limited to implementing new systems, automation and Cloud strategies, as well as evaluating products and continuing to enhance operations and security of both existing on-premise environments and Cloud. This role will mentor and educate others on the IT team regarding Cloud technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure

• Conduct future planning and enhancement of existing Azure cloud environments, as well as implementation of new Azure Cloud environments, utilizing best practices in design, naming, taxonomy and network design
• Implement monitoring solutions and enhance security capabilities for cloud-based environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
• Provide primary administration and design for core Microsoft systems
• Identify and remediate needs for Identity Management through AD Domain Trusts
• Assist with federated access across Active Directory and Entra ID and manage the lifecycle and continuous improvement of Active Directory including server replacements, schema updates and FSMO roles
• Work with teams to integrate Azure infrastructure components into processes and procedures
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
• Define and document best practices and support procedures
• Automate routine/repetitive administrative tasks to reduce manual configuration using tools like PowerShell, Python, etc.
• Provide mentoring on cloud technologies and adoption to others in IT

Infrastructure Services and Support for On-Premise and Cloud

• Proactively manage and maintain server platforms
• Administer and support core Microsoft and VMware technologies
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
• Plan tasks with VARs or team members to finalize projects as needed
• Work with IT security staff to manage security related products and remediate vulnerabilities to meet corporate security policy
• Plan and manage new processes and process changes to support infrastructure / back-office technology improvements
• Develop and maintain systems configuration documentation and standard operating procedures
• Participate in domain architecture design and procedural standards and ensure Global Policies for device management are properly configured and adhere to enterprise standardization
• Interact with business teams to plan and implement new software solutions
• Collaborate with others in Infrastructure, EUC, Information Security, Development and Help Desk teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Minimum Qualifications of Position:

• Bachelor degree of Computer Science, IT, or similar field, or equivalent work experience
• 7 years’ experience in Windows system administration – Windows Server, Active Directory/AAD, GPO, MS Exchange/O365, IIS, SCCM/MECM, Intune, DFS, Print Services, PowerShell
• 3 years in Azure cloud services administration
• Expertise with scripting for automation of manual tasks and configuration management
• Demonstrated ability to balance IT concerns and business needs while at the same time being a strong advocate for IT best practices
Preferred Qualifications of Position:

• Certifications related to Azure and/or other Microsoft administration technologies
• Significant experience in implementing, monitoring and maintaining Azure cloud solutions
• Experience architecting and implementing complex functions in Azure, such as backup/recovery, HA and load balancing
• Large-scale clustered virtualization technologies (ex. VMware, Hyper V, Nutanix)
• Azure DevOps and supporting associated development tools and pipelines
• Strong PowerShell skills and other scripting languages
• Systems monitoring configuration experience
• VDI and published applications
• Identity Access Management and SSO (ex. Okta, Ping)

• Good communications skills and the ability to collaborate and instructs others on platform and process usage
• Composed and calm under stressful conditions
• Demonstrated ability and desire to independently stay current with the constantly evolving technologies
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

The national pay range for this role is $90,00- $120,0000. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
