Job Description: Senior Full-Stack Developer

Location: Hybrid - Phoenix, AZ (4 days in Office)

Employment Type: 12 Month Contract (Potential to extend/convert)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong leadership capabilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Microsoft Technologies, .NET framework, and experience in developing responsive, high-availability client-facing applications. This role involves not only hands-on development but also leading technical refinement and driving the technology strategy for the team. Candidates with a background in financial markets or trading systems are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of applications using .NET and Angular as the primary frontend and backend technologies.
• Handle technical refinement, providing leadership and guidance to the development team.
• Build and implement RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web APIs.
• Collaborate with the UX team to apply design patterns and make informed design decisions.
• Engage in the solutioning and designing of high-availability, client-facing production-grade applications.
• Work with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) to develop and deploy IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Utilize Git, TFS/Azure DevOps for source control, project tracking, and build management.
• Conduct unit testing and work within a test-driven development environment.
• Partner with the QA team to build and enhance automated testing processes using tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
• Provide leadership within the .NET Full-Stack Development environment, ensuring best practices and high-quality code standards.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in full-stack development using Angular and .NET, with proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies.
• Extensive experience with ASP.NET Web APIs, .NET MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 3 years of experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS resources.
• Strong understanding of platform responsibilities, including database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services.
• Experience in source control, project tracking, and build management using Git and TFS/Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a .NET Full-Stack Development environment, with the ability to guide technical refinement and development processes.
• Familiarity with financial trading systems, FIX protocol, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 standards is highly desirable.
• Experience with test-driven development and unit testing is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in financial information exchange protocols (FIX), trading systems, order management systems (OMS), and execution management systems (EMS).
• Understanding of trading concepts such as risk management, blotters, orders, routes, fills, and algos.
• Background in securities markets/trading, investment banking, asset management, hedge funds, or capital markets.
