The Iris School is Hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional Near Marietta, GA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with neurodiverse learners. Experience in special education are highly valued, but not required. Position will be working directly with a lead teacher/the school director with a small group of 4-7 students grades K-8.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Support students in various educational settings, including one-on-one and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers to create and implement lesson plans tailored to students' needs
- Provide support for students with varied modes of communication

-Follow and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Help students develop social skills and independence

-Support with functional skills, like toileting and feeding
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff

Experience:

- Prior experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with working in special education environments
- Experience in lesson planning and adapting curriculum for diverse learning styles
- Comfortable working with students across different age groups

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
