The Dungeness River Nature Center and Dungeness / Protection Island National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs) are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage all aspects of our vital volunteer program.

In this role, you'll wear many hats, from recruitment and training to scheduling and appreciation. You'll be the heart of our volunteer network, ensuring a smooth and rewarding experience for all involved.

Here's what you'll do :

• Oversee the entire volunteer program, including database & scheduling systems.
• Design and deliver engaging volunteer orientations and annual training sessions.
• Spearhead volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Manage volunteer schedules and placements across Dungeness River Nature Center & NWRs.
• Track volunteer service agreements, background checks, and applications.
• Organize and host volunteer appreciation events (think picnics and dinners!).
• Monitor program effectiveness and continuously seek ways to improve.
