Generous vacation time and paid holidays will help you achieve a healthy work/life balance. We offer an excellent benefits package with affordable, high-quality health and dental insurance with low co-pays. You’ll receive ongoing support through high-quality supervision, specialized trainings from our Continuing Education team, and an education benefit. How you can make a bigger difference: The Learning Specialist 1 under the direction of the Director of Learning, Clinical Lead, will provide change management support, training, and consultation to staff working with people with mental health, substance use, psychosocial and intellectual/developmental challenges in community-based, day, residential, and child welfare systems of care. The Learning Specialist 1 (LS1), with the Learning Department team, will help the agency to plan and implement changes in policy, procedures, and practice, and will support the agency in implementation and integration of mission and strategic plan. The LS1 will curate external training resources, develop customized training materials, and execute plans for sustaining practice and evaluating trainings. The LS1 will also participate in all Learning Department endeavors. The Learning Specialist 1 is the entry level Learning Specialist role, with movement up to Learning Specialist 2 available. The LS 1 is expected to immediately create and deliver introductory learning curricula in a number of relevant areas with little department support. The LS1 will be supported to develop knowledge and skills toward the creation and delivery of more advanced learning packages focused on specialized content areas and more than one evidence-based/informed model. Some responsibilities include but not limited to:TrainingResearch, assess, and curate external training resources to be utilized in meeting program staff development needsCreate and deliver introductory trainings relevant to behavioral health and social services including agency values, workplace expectations, client engagement, assessment, and others as neededFurther develop knowledge and expertise toward creating and delivering advanced training packages in the following as relevant based on specific role: family engagement and treatment, trauma informed care, recovery-oriented practice, substance use and harm reduction, culturally affirming care, LGBTQ competencies, documentation, risk management, crisis de-escalation, behavioral management and support, human growth and development, health literacy, and others as neededCreate and deliver evidence-based training packages to teams and/or individuals (within Jewish Board and across the larger social service/behavioral health community) in at least one intervention area such as:Motivational Interviewing (MI); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP); Brief Therapy; Shared Decision Making; and other relevant and emerging evidence-based practicesFurther develop knowledge and expertise toward delivering evidence-based training in a second intervention areaCreate and deliver training packages in other areas relevant to schools, care management, child welfare and behavioral health servicesCase, Team, and System ConsultationsProvide clinical and system consultations to support competency and ensure integration of training into daily agency practice, with a focus on site-based supervisory development and practice improvement strategies, including sustainability planning, outcomes monitoring, and quality improvement supportAssist in the development of program or division model of care and deliver training and consultation supporting model of care implementation, sustainability, and the monitoring and use of outcomesDevelopment of MaterialsCreate training tool kits and fact sheets to support centralized and site-based learningContribute to webinar creationParticipation in other Learning Department endeavors such asTraining evaluationCrisis consultation and intervention TO QUALIFY:Demonstrated evidence of excellent training skillsExperience in evidence-based practice with at least one treatment. Supervisory and training experience in above interventions a plus.
