The John Buck Company is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee operations at one of our prestigious commercial properties known for its prime location and high-profile tenants. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and tenant satisfaction of property.

Responsibilities are…

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the property, including maintenance, leasing, tenant relations, and financial performance.
  • Implement and oversee property maintenance programs to ensure a safe, clean, and attractive environment for tenants, visitors, and employees.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and capital improvement projects.
  • Negotiate and administer leases and rental agreements.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness of services provided.
  • Foster positive tenant relations and address tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and ordinances.

  • Be very instrumental in maintaining the client/owner relationship.

Within 3 months this person will….

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the property’s operations, tenant needs, and property management systems.
  • Establish effective working relationships with tenants, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and efficiency within property operations.
  • Develop the client/owner relationship to ensure confidence and trust in the performance of the property management duties.

Within 6 months this person will….

  • Implement strategic initiatives to enhance property value and tenant experience.
  • Optimize property financial performance through effective budget management and cost control measures.
  • Initiate and oversee capital improvement projects to maintain and enhance property aesthetics and functionality.

Within 12 months this person will….

  • Lead the implementation of long-term strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the property’s market position and profitability.
  • Establish sustainability initiatives and practices to reduce environmental impact and operating costs.
  • Cultivate relationships with local community stakeholders and organizations to promote positive community engagement and support.

Growth Track:

The Property Manager role is designed to empower you with the tools and opportunities to excel in commercial property management. Through hands-on experience and strategic initiatives, you will rapidly gain proficiency in optimizing property operations, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and driving financial performance. As you progress, you will take on leadership responsibilities, spearheading long-term strategic plans, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement efforts. This track is your pathway to becoming a respected leader in the field, contributing to the ongoing success and prominence of the property in our market.

Who you will be working with:

  • You will be reporting to the VP of Operations while working with other Account Executives across various verticals.
  • During the onboarding and transition period, you will have weekly 1-on-1s with your manager and other account executives to ensure that you are being set up for success in the best way possible and receiving additional coaching.
  • This position requires a significant amount of client facing.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field (preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in commercial property management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Active IDFPR Real Estate Broker License.
  • Communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of property management.
  • Understanding of construction and construction management.
