The Joint Chiropractic is Hiring a Manager of Compliance - Scottsdale, AZ Near Scottsdale, AZ

The Manager of Compliance will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining claims management processes, managing HIPAA and Medicare compliance programs, overseeing medical records processing, providing cross departmental support and leading their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in compliance management within the healthcare industry and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive claims management processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline claims processing and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with franchisees and outside counsel to monitor and manage claims.
HIPAA and Medicare Compliance:
  • Manage and oversee HIPAA compliance programs to ensure the protection of patient information.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with Medicare regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide training and education to staff on HIPAA and Medicare compliance requirements.
Medical Records Processing:
  • Oversee the processing and management of medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the secure handling and storage of medical records.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of medical records processing systems.
  • Ensure that medical records are accessible to authorized personnel while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Compliance Support:
  • Provide expert compliance support and guidance to other departments within the company.
  • Assist departments in understanding and implementing compliance requirements related to their functions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and enforce compliance strategies and initiatives.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management to team members.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
Preferred Experience/Skill Set
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred) OR Doctorate of Chiropractic.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare regulations, and claims management processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage an annual budget.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Chiropractic clinic operations and practice.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Certifications in healthcare compliance or ability to obtain certification is required.
