Accounting for an Independent Insurance Agency: 3 years (Required)
Experience with AMS360 or Applied EPIC
Essential Job Functions
Accounts Payable: Process invoices for operating expenses, reconcile, and record credit card transactions promptly.
Insurance Company Payables: Reconcile and pay invoices/statements for agency bill insurance transactions promptly.
Accounts Receivable: Record deposits of commission and customer payments promptly.
General Ledger Reconciliation: Review and reconcile general ledger balances to subsidiary ledger detail on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as applicable.
Financial Statements: Prepare draft financial statements monthly for Accountant review and respond to review questions within 24 hours.
Commission Invoicing: Invoice direct bill commission in a backup capacity to the direct bill specialist.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Strong proficiency in AMS360 or Applied EPIC software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
