Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly
Description: As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, analyze, model, test, and simulate communication systems, subsystems, and electronic signals. These systems span communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems, including wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding, modulation schemas, digital and wireless radio/communications technology, and network architecture design.
This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute operational scripts and unit tests for wireless communication systems, including communication satellite payloads and associated ground terminals.
• Identify key requirements and create test plans.
• Apply a strong programming and scripting skillset to implement system- and unit-level tests.
• Troubleshoot system issues by leveraging your working knowledge of system architecture, including software, firmware, and RF components, to identify root causes for system failures.
• Lead hands-on diagnosis of issues during integration and testing, working closely with software, firmware, and hardware teams to identify and address problems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong background and experience with Python, along with familiarity with C/C .
• Proficiency with the Linux operating system.
• Knowledge of communications systems.
• Skill in both system test planning and execution.
• Ability to efficiently implement test procedures using programming skills and troubleshoot system operation.
• Understanding of digital signal processing, digital communications, hardware design, and software.
