Description: Duration: 06 Months (Strong Possible Extension)1 st Shift, Monday - FridayJob Title: Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural designs for data collection systems using diverse instrumentation.
- Execute electrical designs for data and control systems, including enclosure layouts compliant with UL508A standards, utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
- Design avionics checkout systems.
- Create interface circuits for sensors and actuators.
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of complex electrical designs.
- Design systems for video monitoring and recording.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable level of experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial or aerospace control systems, or data system design and operation.
- Proficient in designing electrical systems with CAD tools, specifically AutoCAD Electrical.
- Solid understanding of the National Electric Code (NFPA70).
- Familiarity with National Instruments data acquisition hardware or similar technologies.
- Proven ability to integrate instrumentation into data acquisition and control system hardware.
- Comprehensive knowledge of instrumentation theory for various applications, including pressure, temperature, flow, strain, and acceleration.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster positive professional relationships, and support an inclusive work environment.
- Legal status as a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee lawfully admitted into the U.S.
- Experience in analog circuit PCB design with Altium tools, emphasizing signal conditioning for high-frequency instruments.
- Knowledge in designing power circuits and distribution systems ranging from 120 to 480 volts.
- Familiarity with additional electrical codes, including NFPA 70E, 79, 496, 497, UL508A, and 698.
- Expertise in noise reduction, shielding, and filtering techniques for high-fidelity measurements.
- Experience with various video monitoring systems, including webcams, HD, high-speed, and infrared technologies.
- Proficiency in tuning closed-loop control systems.
