We are working alongside our client in the Financial Services/Capital Markets space and they're in need of an Associate Principal, Information Governance & Privacy individual to join their GRC team. This role reports up to the Privacy and Data Protection Officer. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for supporting, developing, and implementing information governance, data protection, and privacy program across the company. You'll do so by supporting an developing strategies, policies, procedures, and controls. Working alongside stakeholders you'll help define the information governance, data protection, and privacy requirements for external organizations with whom the client has a business need to share information with.

This is a new team within governance that will work with data from across the organization to help prepare for the future state of Data Governance to implement things like AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics.

Ideal Skillset:

• Previous hands-on experience with data privacy and data classification
• Previous Financial Services/Capital Markets experience is a huge bonus
• Experience working with Privacy requirements and working with personal information/the protection of personal information
• Experience working within a highly regulation environment is a must
• Experience in Information Security related policy, procedure, and control writing
• At least 4 years of experience building the capabilities for auto data classification, data security, and data protection
• Experience with systems/tools that support Compliance, Risk, Audit, Privacy, and Management such as ServiceNow, Archer, etc.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools

Education/Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information management, information systems, law, computer science or BA/BS in another discipline with equivalent experience
• Previous work experience with information or data governance control activities
• Certifications are a plus but not required
