The Judge Group is Hiring a Manager Environmental Health and Safety (1043425) Near Narragansett, RI

Location: Narragansett Pier, RI
Salary: Depends on Experience
DescriptionOne of our clients in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire a Manager of Environmental Health and Safety.
Full-time, direct hire opportunity
Fully onsite in Narragansett, RI
Must Have
  • Manufacturing Site and high volume production environment SAFETY exp.
  • Heavy experience in employee safety AND reducing employee injuries in a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of high-volume production floor layout and machine safety techniques: like machine guarding, and fabrication of equipment safety procedures and devices
  • Factory inspections and site reviews for OSHA standards
This role is responsible for leading the implementation, coordination, and sustainment of EHS programs at the local site level and championing site-specific initiatives to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. EHS manager responsibilities also include recommending equipment upgrades/changes to protect workers, educating employees using safety training programs and advising in investigating accidents to identify the cause and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environment, Safety, Health, Science or a related field
  • Experience: 5-7 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment including supervisory responsibilities
  • Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a flexible schedule to support a 24-hour, 7-day per week multi-site manufacturing operation
  • RCRA, DOT, Tier 2, and TRI Training and experience
  • Certified Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety professional
  • Extensive knowledge of Regulations and Consensus Standards
  • Auditing Techniques
