DescriptionThe Judge Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its client located in the Horsham, PA area.
Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Horsham, PA
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
Responsibilities
- Optimize work cells, equipment arrangements, and the flow of materials and personnel for peak efficiency.
- Collaborate with Production-Manufacturing, New Product Development, and R&D teams to design and develop new products and processes, emphasizing manufacturability, process validation, and a “Zero” defect approach.
- Enhance daily manufacturing operations by applying expert knowledge to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Engage in design control activities, including risk analysis (FMEA) and design reviews.
- Identify and acquire new manufacturing equipment.
- Spearhead the development and execution of equipment qualifications.
- Perform time studies and formulate cost models.
- Create work instructions and provide training to relevant team members.
- Champion and assist in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma & Lean manufacturing, and improvements to product structure and routing.
- Assess product designs for their manufacturability.
- Direct and assist in investigations into defective products, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Bachelor's degree, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 3 years of experience
- Injection molding or extrusion experience required
