Salary: $65,000.00 USD Annually - $75,000.00 USD Annually
DescriptionFood manufacturer in the Glencoe, MN area is seeking a QC Supervisor that is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality control activities within the organization. This role ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulations. This person must have the flexibility to work rotating 12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of quality control inspectors, ensuring their training and development.
- Inspection Oversight: Monitor and review inspection activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
- Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP).
- Supplier Quality: Manage supplier quality, including inspections, audits, and approval processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular quality reports to management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management).
- Proven experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Pareto analysis).
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP, quality management systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
