Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, is working with a _global medical device manufacturer_ . Looking for a **Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist** to work onsite in their facility, in **Grand Rapids, MI** . This is a **24-Month Contract** with possibility of extension and/or conversion to FTE/Perm.

**Job Title:** Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist

**Location:** Grand Rapids, MI

**Pay:** $30-$33 an hour benefits

**Schedule:** Mon-Fri, Fully Onsite, Normal Business Hours (some flex on hours)

**Key Responsibilities:**

Develop, administer, and implement environmental, health, & safety (EHS) program for newly acquired manufacturing plant

Make adjustments and recommend enhancements in EHS matters, ensuring OSHA, EPA, State, and Local regulatory compliance

50% Desk Work (developing policies, procedures, training initiatives, audits, and compliance programs)

50% Walking the plant, engaging with all levels personnel, educating, auditing, and compliance testing

**Requirements:**

Degree minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR Advanced Degree 0 years of experience

Regulatory knowledge of OSHA general industry standard 1910 and EPA RCRA

Experience in development EHS Programs and delivering training

Experience in conducting root cause analysis and risk assessments

**Preferred Certifications, Not Required:**

Certified Safety Professional-CSP

Certified Hazardous Material Management-CHMM

Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Certification (RCRA)

OSHA, 20-30-Hour training

OSHA Hazwoper
