Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly
DescriptionBackend Scala Engineers
Role OverviewThis role is for Backend Scala Engineers who will be part of a team focused on decoupling services from a parent company. The team will be working on 7-8 large projects in the next year. The team is small, consisting of a technical architect, product owner, and the two Scala engineers to be hired. There may be additional hires in the future.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to new development or maintain services. One of the main areas is account/eligibility functionality. There are several other services this engineer might work on.
Required Skills
- Strong backend development experience
- Proficiency in Scala, sbt, Play, Akka
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and relational databases
- Some scripting experience - Python or Shell (bash)
- Software implementation and integration experience with a working knowledge of Agile development lifecycle.
- Previous experience on account, eligibility, authentication (OIDC based) type systems will be helpful.
