Description:
The Building Engineer, HVAV provides the hands on expertise to ensure that the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems are in optimum working order. Overtime is mandatory to fully perform this task.
There are two openings for this role, and the desired schedules are as follows: Wednesday-Sunday 7:30am-3:30pm and the other to be Wednesday-Sunday 3pm-11:30pm.
The hourly rate for this role is $29.81 per hour. This role is part of the Local Union TWU-241.

Role Responsibilities:

• Follow the directions of all supervisory personnel.
• Operate all HVAC equipment to provide an acceptable building environment.
• Lubricate all HVAC equipment.
• Replace all filter material.
• Monitor all HVAC equipment during the daily rounds, including ejector and sump pumps.
• Repair/replace thermostats.
• Repairs/replace all valves, packing, springs, and caps on reheat and perimeter heat lines.
• Replace damaged motors.
• Monitor the fire alarm system and test internal alarms.
• Clean air intake areas for fan systems.
• Provide water treatment for hot water heating system.
• Provide fire guard services.
• Provide prompt response to emergency calls.
• Comply with and follow emergency procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
