JOB DESCRIPTION: GRAPHIC and MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER

From graphic design, to product development, to trade show space planning, to website development, to print marketing materials, to sales proposals, to photography and video, this position will provide a great deal of opportunity to build your portfolio and work with a fast-paced team.

JOB FUNCTION:

Graphic and Multimedia Designer

POSITION TYPE:

Full Time / 40-45 hours per week

This position is not a contract position, and is an ongoing employee position. Hours worked will be on-site, in our office, located on Harmon Avenue, right off 71.

DESIRED MAJOR/EXPERIENCE:

Graphic Design, Industrial Design.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Advanced in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and WebDesign/HTML
• Proficient in Aftereffects or Premiere
• Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office is required (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Packaging Design Experience
• Web Design Experience
• Photography / Video Experience

• Oral communication skills which are clear, concise, and effective. This position has direct interaction with customers, as well as suppliers, media contacts, and our internal sales and marketing team.

• Able to work independently in a deadline-driven environment to create production artwork for customers’ orders
• Willing to learn new applications and skills – examples of recent work include social media, video, photography, new product development, trade show booth design

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Daily tasks will include:

• Record, edit, and encode audio and video files
• Perform media edits to existing content
• Develop and deliver high-impact video, photo, and web projects that support company and brand objectives.
• Produce high-quality design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, and prototypes
• Layout artwork for customers’ orders, and preparing artwork for production
• Update and create content for social media accounts
• Photograph products for website and other marketing collateral
• Create presentations, renderings and samples for sales proposals and meetings
• Update and design in-house B2B marketing materials, e-blasts, newsletters, and tradeshow materials
• Create new packaging designs and product displays
• Assist in new product development initiatives
• Support the sales team as necessary in a variety of marketing and design needs
• Assist in marketing initiatives from beginning to end including concepts, design, execution, and proof-reading for web related projects, social media, collateral, etc.
• Professional behavior when making phone calls and dealing with customers
• Runs point on all multimedia projects from providing timelines and estimated costs to execution.
• Work with Art Director on developing best-in-class content ideas and creating an annual calendar of content needed.
• Bring innovative design ideas and concepts to the table, actively advancing creative aspects of projects.
• Demonstrate the ability to execute projects efficiently and independently to high standards, with little oversight.
• Consistently deliver multiple high-level creative projects simultaneously, on time and on budget.
• Given the nature of our growing company, this position will also include assignments related to graphic design, web development, photography, and marketing.
• Other duties as assigned.

SALARY LEVEL/COMPENSATION:

Compensation is based on experience.
