metals and welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal structures or products. Fabricate tubular
micrometer frames as well as other small repairs for the facility.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Welds metal components and parts using specialized equipment such as gas welders and gas torches.
- Uses electrical currents to create heat and bond metals.
- Plans work by interpreting blueprints, measure and cut metal pieces, and use heat and pressure to fuse them together.
- Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Have knowledge of different welding methods such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Possess good hand-eye coordination.
- Technical expertise.
- Planning skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Manual dexterity.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
