The Law Offices of Donald T. Dunham & Associates is a boutique law firm with over 35 years of experience that specializes in personal injury, DUIs, incorporation, and wills and trusts.
Role Description:
The Law Offices of Donald T. Dunham & Associates has an immediate need for a full-time on-site Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience doing trials and 3 or more years of experience in civil litigation, including law and motion work. Our attorneys have support from a separate team of pre-litigation case managers, as well as assistance from dedicated paralegals and legal assistants in the litigation department.
Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000 annually Year End Bonus
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Full-time)
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with CA State Bar
- 3 years of PI litigation experience
- Ability to manage litigation cases and take them to trial
- ABOTA membership is a plus
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat, including advanced formatting and PDF editing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, meet-and confers on discovery issues, motions and memoranda of law
- Write mediation briefs and perform legal research
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs
- Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel for settlements
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process
- Trial preparation and participation, and ability to develop trial strategy
