Metal Machinists set up and operate machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.

- 1st shift 6:00 AM- 4:00 PM Monday – Thursday (plus overtime as needed on Fridays)
- Regular Pay $22.47-26.12/hour -Pay is based on experience
- Operates and maintains lathes (VTL) adjusting feed and speed settings as required
- Reviews instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production
- Takes precise measurements for cutting and shaping
- Selects appropriate settings for a given task, in an ISO certified shop environment
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment successfully
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents results
- Identifies needs and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a clean and safe workstation and environment
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and requests as needed
- Operates forklift and other machinery as required in a safe, responsible manner
- Experience with large OD micrometers, live tooling, Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), mills and Fanuc controls with 2 to 5 years of experience is preferred
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety at all times
- Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Ability to use precision tools and large micrometers to take accurate measurements
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals accurately
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with safe forklift operations – certification preferred but not required
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
