The Learning Center is Hiring an Assistant Infant Teacher Near Wilmington, NC

Are you passionate about teaching young children? Do you love to interact with and facilitate the development of the youngest minds? If you answered yes, then you need to join The Learning Center as a teacher in our infant class. This position requires a teacher who can communicate professionally with families and other staff members, is attentive, compassionate, and patient, and is dedicated and reliable. The ideal candidate will have prior child care experience and at least North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials. Teachers will be required to obtain first-aid and CPR, as well as ITS SIDS training. Positions in NC child care also require state and federal Child care specific background checks, a current physical, and a current TB test.

· We have very large playgrounds so children can spread out and run

· Variety of outdoor play spaces to choose from, including water play and sand pits

· Work alongside degreed Lead teachers

· Our center has a culture of long term staff

· Child enrollment is limited to full time only; no part time children to manage

· Classrooms have their own air conditioning and heating unit

· Great location! Our school is convenient to neighboring counties as well as near Costco, Target, and MLK Parkway

· School has resource closets to replenish classroom items as needed, such as children’s books, art supplies, and extra equipment to rotate items

· 4 staff bathrooms and multiple areas to relax during break, including an outdoor picnic table

· Free pizza for teachers every Wednesday

· 3 days of paid professional development / teacher work days (October, February, August)

· Full time staff after 90 days have 9 Paid holidays per year in addition to vacation and sick pay!

· If another center offers health insurance, they typically pay 50% of the cost or less; we currently pay 75% of the cost for our employees that qualify

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.50 - $15.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
