Come join our dynamic team at The Learning Experience Henderson as a passionate Assistant Director! This role will collaborate closely with our current Assistant Director and operate during the closing shift from 9:30am to 6:30pm.
Assistant Directors play a vital role in managing and operating the center. Alongside the other Assistant Director, this position will support the Center Director/Owners in overseeing daily operations, staff management, curriculum development, and ensuring the well-being of the children in our care. The Assistant Director fosters a positive and nurturing environment, promoting the growth and development of both children and staff.

In collaboration with the Assistant Director, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • - Warmly greeting parents and students and maintaining open communication with families.
  • - Handling phone calls and messages promptly.
  • - Managing staff schedules.
  • - Ensuring staff qualifications are up to date.
  • - Assisting the Director in maintaining organized records for all children.
  • - Managing child and employee files.
  • - Sorting registration paperwork.
  • - Maintaining attendance records.
  • - Ensuring cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere in the office, lobby, and teacher lounge.
  • - Conducting center tours and family orientations.
  • - Conducting onboarding trainings for new employees.
  • - Occasionally assisting classroom staff in maintaining ratios and coverage.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a child care center or preschool setting.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations governing child care centers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
