Initially started with the mission to provide access to high quality tutoring without the high price tag, our organization has grown, minimizing education and care disparities for children through childcare, tutoring, and more. We are an integral part of our communities, providing much needed support for families, schools, and children.

The Learning Lamp is looking for a Full Time/Part Time Before/After School Program Group and Assistant Supervisors at our Creative Kids Education Center located in the Altoona area.

What are the hours like?

• Our centers are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our Full-Time Child Care Staff work an 8-hour shift within these hours.
• Our Part Time Child Care Staff have the flexibility to choose regular hours that work for their schedule within this time frame.

What do you bring?

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Services field
• Previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.
• Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. The children grow!
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
