Job Description: As a Personal Injury Paralegal at The Ledger Law Firm's Fort Worth Division, you will play an essential role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible representation. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Managing case files, including organizing and maintaining documents, correspondence, and evidence.
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to support case strategies.
- Communicating with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Drafting correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents.
- Preparing for and assisting during depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Managing and tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submission of court filings.
- Providing general administrative support to attorneys as needed.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury procedures, laws, and terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
