Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Design Director and President through all phases of line creation and execution.
· Recolor seasonal prints, detailed sketches for new development and CADs for presentations.
· Review and approve items such as lab dips, fabric swatches, and protos.
· Attend fit sessions.
· Attend photo shoots.
· Ensure development of products and production follows the needed timeline.
· Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
· Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, prints, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
· Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
· Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
· Working in depth within PLM system through all phases of development and production.
· Creating production sketches for development packages.
· Collaborating with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
· Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
· Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers if needed.
Qualifications:
· Knowledge and experience in contemporary sportswear.
· Strong fashion and color sense of the market.
· Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills with high attention to product details.
· Ability to communicate and interact with all cross functional teams.
· Highly Proficient in Illustrator/Photoshop
· 3 years design experience.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
· Excellent design and conceptual skills, sense of style and color.
· Knowledge and experience with PLM systems a plus.
