The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, collection of outstanding payments, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
Requirements:
Requires an individual that is detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable. Exceptional analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures related to accounts receivable.
Essential Job Functions:
o Daily management of customer billings and manufacturer commissions.
o Manage the end-to-end diverse accounts receivable process, including the timely and accurate invoicing of customers and monitoring of outstanding balances.
o Ensure proper recording and classification of revenue transactions in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
o Reconcile customer accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and customer service, to address customer inquiries, disputes, and billing discrepancies.
o Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying delinquent accounts and initiating collection efforts as necessary.
o Assist operations team with customer related research to ensure timely billing.
o Prepare periodic reports on accounts receivable status, including cash flow forecasts, bad debt reserves, and aging analysis.
o Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounts receivable-related tasks.
o Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts receivable.
o Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, changes in accounting regulations, and technology advancements, recommending and implementing process improvements as appropriate.
o Other accounting duties as assigned
