HAAS Machinist - Night Shift

Job Summary : Programming, set-up, and operation of CNC machining centers

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Haas Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Vertical Haas Machines to produce high-quality machined parts according to specifications.

This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up Vertical Haas Machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
• Operate Vertical Haas Machines to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, and tapping.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced within tolerance and meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
• Experience operating Vertical Haas Machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Haas control systems.
• Ability to program using G-code.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and practices.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of GibbsCAM a plus
