The Product Development Surface Design Supervisor is responsible for overseeing surface designers at The Line Up – which includes graphic design artwork and digitizing of rhinestones, sublimation, embroidery, spangles and vinyl applications. This position hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates team members within Surface Design while also meeting department goals, tracking key performance metrics, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of projects. The Product Development Surface Design Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the team and processes to drive overall success.

The opportunities you will have…

• Lead the Product Development Surface Design team – review and assign workload to ensure that projects are accurate, meet quality standards, are completed efficiently and on time.
• Assist Product Development Manager in hiring, onboarding and ongoing development for the team.
• Administer quarterly and annual performance reviews with team members – ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Create and achieve quarterly initiatives (Rocks) that align with Company and Department goals.
• Track and report on department metrics, ensuring the team is meeting goals. Collaborate with Product Development Manager and other Supervisors/Leads to solve issues or overcome barriers to achievement of goals.
• Actively participate in improving, documenting and updating processes - leading the Product Development Surface Design team in implementation
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience

• Two years of prior Graphic Design experience with either one year having served as The Line Up’s Surface Design Lead or a college degree in either graphic design or business management.
• Two years of previous team lead or supervisor experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Additional Considerations:

• Wage is dependent on experience.
• Full time position of 40 hours per week
• Office Hours: 8:00- 5:00, Monday – Friday
• Location: Hybrid in our offices at Eden Prairie, Minnesota
• Classification: Exempt
• Reports to: Product Development Manager
