The Lullabar Inc. is Hiring an Operations Lead/Front Desk Near Carlsbad, CA

The Lullabar is a fairly new concept that promotes self-care and community for everyone, especially families. Our primary services include a coffee shop, nail salon, kids play space, special events & classes.

Our customers are parents of young children, primarily mothers who seek some time for themselves while their children are safely nearby in our play space! Although we are a family-friendly environment, many customers who do not have children also enjoy our space and services due to our welcoming and beautiful atmosphere, excellent services and amazing customer service.

About the role:

An Operations Lead/Front Desk is responsible for helping us maintain a positive work environment, excellent customer experiences, and efficient daily operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our employees are well-supported, our customers are satisfied, and our business runs smoothly.

80% of this role involves working in person at The Lullabar and 20% is work from home.

We are looking for someone to manage the front desk and staff while there, and then assist in operational tasks as well.

This position will assist the owners in managing the staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing Front Desk: Greet customers, assist in scheduling appointments and responding to inquires, while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of The Lullabar. Collaborate with various teams to maintain efficient processes and resolve customer and operational issues promptly.

2. Customer Experience: Prioritize and uphold a high standard of customer service. Ensure every customer has a positive experience by addressing concerns and feedback promptly. Ensure that staff consistently adheres to our Customer Experience Checklist, and hold them accountable if deviations from procedures occur.

3. Team Management & Scheduling: Work closely with a large team, serving as the primary point of contact for employee concerns. Manage team scheduling and facilitate a harmonious work environment. Draft weekly team schedules in Zenefits to ensure efficient time allocation.

4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Review, update, and improve current Standard Operating Procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Assist owners with streamlining our company tools, and employee training. Assist department leads in creating training materials for future hires. This includes creating a template in Team Drive that departments can upload content in effectively.

5. Some HR Functions: Assist in hiring, including conducting interviews, onboarding new employees, and maintaining personnel records. Assist in handling terminations professionally and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

6. Reporting and Administration: Maintain diligent and accurate records of employee-related matters, including attendance, performance, and grievances.

7. Company Culture: Collaborate with the owners to establish and nurture a positive company culture. Examples of initiatives include writing birthday cards for team members, organizing team bonding events, conducting personal check-ins with staff, and more.Your input and efforts in this area are greatly valued and will significantly contribute to the success and well-being of our team.

8. Weekend Support: Be the main point of contact for staff on Saturdays for any minor issues such as printer ink shortage, wifi connectivity, supply/inventory issues, etc.

Skills:

- 1-2 years of experience in team management and/or human resources strongly preferred.

- 1-2 years of previous experience creating work schedules and managing time off requests.

- Must love working with customers!
