We re recruiting for a led finance and accounting executive for the Magic Castle in Hollywood. The role reports to the Board of Directors, works with executive management and manages a small team of accountants and clerks. The organization has three separate types of operations: restaurant and hospitality, events, education & promotion of magical arts and membership.

This role is a key member of the executive team and is responsible for accounting and finance, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls and planning. Successful candidates will have experience in accounting and finance in hospitality and it would be an added plus if they have experience working in creative / artistic enterprises.

Required:

1. 10 years experience in finance and accounting with at least 3 years in the lead role, for example: CFO, Controller, VP Finance and Accounting, etc.
2. Ability to operate independently and implement a strong system of internal controls.
3. Experience with systems. Currently there are multiple systems that don't always "talk to each other."
4. Ability to be hands-on. This is a small team that requires everyone to contribute to the work product.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and communications abilities.
6. Willingness to work daily in Hollywood.
