- Allocate workload and supervise maintenance technicians
- Forward thinking by promoting a proactive mentality
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) from equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors and service provider
- Communicate regularly with management about issues impacting production
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for maintenance
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with using a regular audit schedule
- Identify and/or develop training for maintenance technicians for continuous development
- Monitor and communicate maintenance budget and expenses
- Plan for cost reductions
- PMs (Preventive Maintenance) must be created, reviewed, updated, planned, and development to be effective for operations
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including plumbing, piping, reliability, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Hands on work ethic
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Background and knowledge in the following: National Electric Code, NFPA, Arc Flash, OSHA, LOTOTO, Confined Space, local laws, and regulations
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
