The Mary Wade Home Incorporated is Hiring an Assisted Living Security Officer Near New Haven, CT

Our Security Guards are a vital part of our community, ensuring that the grounds and buildings are secured and making sure the residents feel safe in the community they call home. We take the time to talk with, and listen to, those we care for and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Our goal is to create moments of joy as often as possible. The community includes 84 units, a combination of one bedroom and studio apartments. 20 units are Memory Care and the rest are traditional Assisted Living. We have a bistro, a salon/spa, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace!

Schedule: 16 hours per week: 4pm to 12am: Every Tuesday and Saturday

Hourly Rate: $16.00

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE a valid CT Guard Card to be considered for the position.
  • Prior Security Office experience is plus
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or assisted living community is plus

Job Requirements:

  • Conduct safety and security inspection patrols throughout the facility.
  • When not on patrol, is required to sit in the main lobby greets visitors, answers phone and monitor campus.
  • Prepare incidents reports, as applicable.
  • Ensure no safety or fire hazards exist.
  • Patrol parking lot to ensure that perimeter has no suspicious activity, improperly parked vehicles and all exterior lights are working.
  • Completes documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Prepare Incident Report concerning any unusual event that occurs during shift.
  • Prepare Daily Activity Report (DAR)
  • Temperature Reading Report
  • Be on-time every time
  • Be friendly, courteous and supportive to residents, families and coworkers
  • Speak with respect and professionalism to all.
  • Be kind and empathetic
