💲 RATE: $105,000 to $110,000 annually depending on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Payroll oversees and monitors all aspects of payroll operations and management of the Payroll Department. This includes supervising payroll processes and procedures including taxes, legal compliance, and site/Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements in support of organizational objectives. In addition, this individual will oversee federal and state tax payment processing, quarterly payroll tax returns, W-2s, electronic transmissions, and banking functions (including ACH and positive pay). The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax and compensation laws.

REQUIREMENTS:

◾ Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, HR, or a related field required

◾ 10-15 years of experience managing Payroll and HR systems required

◾ A minimum of three (3) years of payroll system implementation experience, including Time and Attendance and ERP Systems, is required for KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

◾ Excellent knowledge of applicable current Federal and New York State wage and hour laws and regulatory requirements

◾ Solid PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications

◾ Multi-Systems knowledge and experience –Kronos

◾ Strong process orientation and project management skills

◾ Expertise in leading and managing significant change initiatives and continuous improvements in payroll processing and in labor analytics

◾ Proven track record in building partnerships and relationships with internal customers at all levels

◾ Ability to successfully carry out roles and responsibilities within a fast, team-based work environment

◾ Excellent analytical skills referred to certifications: CPP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
