The Meadows School is Hiring an Admissions and Development Coordinator Near Las Vegas, NV

The Meadows School is seeking an engaging, motivated, and collaborative Admissions and Development Coordinator. The Admissions and Development Coordinator will manage the operational aspects of the admissions processes, including digital communication, enrollment management and organizing on-campus events. This role engages with prospective families, providing timely, thorough, and persuasive communication about the people, programs, and opportunities at The Meadows School. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, superior interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to The Meadows School mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world class service to all existing and prospective constituents of The Meadows School
  • Manage the online admissions process for prospective students, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for families
  • Coordinate admissions and other on campus events and serve as a point of contact for prospective families
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the admissions office, including managing multiple calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence
  • Prepare and distribute admissions materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of admissions databases and records, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Communicate with prospective families, address inquiries, and provide information about the admissions process
  • Scheduling parent and student visits and answering questions as required to guide families through the admission process
  • Develop and manage leadership groups in the Middle and Upper Schools for student admissions ambassadors, developing practices to continually enhance participation and effectiveness; recruiting, coordinating, and training student Admissions Ambassadors with an emphasis on belonging
  • Collaborating with the Director of Admissions and Director of Communications & Marketing to ensure consistency of brand experience and messaging for prospective families
  • Partner with the Director of Admissions in making key decisions for evaluating and admitting students, including advising/coaching applicants, interviewing applicants and their families,and reviewing the file of each applicant
  • Plan and execute outreach/recruitment events at feeder organizations/schools
  • Support the mission and vision of the School by acting as a brand ambassador and representative
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Admissions, Director of Advancement, and/or Head of School

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience (preferably in education/admissions)
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive, discreet, and mature manner
  • Available to work non-traditional hours and weekends (e.g., Open House, school fairs, community presentations, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrates quality, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Builds relationships and culture through effective communication
  • Strong cultural competency skills, with demonstrated commitment to furthering the creation of a school community that supports a strong sense of belonging

The Meadows School offers a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Medical – Choice of either PPO or HMO coverage for employee at no cost. Spouse and family coverage available at TMS group rates
  • Dental – Coverage for employee at no cost. Spouse and family coverage available at TMS group rates
  • Vision--Employee, spouse, and family coverage at TMS group rates
  • Life - $45,000 policy for each employee at no cost
  • Retirement – In our non-contributory plan, TMS contributes 8% of employee base salary amount monthly. Employee is fully vested and has 100% ownership of all contributions. Additional employee contributions are allowed but not required. (Percentage of base salary increases to 9% after 7 yrs of service and 10% after 12 years of service)
  • Tuition Remission -- children of faculty receive a 50% tuition waiver
