Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Facilities Management Director, manages the day-to-day activities of the Facilities Management staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate’s degree in engineering or business field or appropriate job experience
• Previous management experience preferred
• Knowledge of building Systems, standards and regulations, life safety, environment of care, budget preparation, Must have effective verbal and written communication in order to communicate a clear concise manner with staff, employees, patients, public, physicians and administration.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertinent to health care facilities, including Joint Commission, NFPA99, NFPA101, OSHA, and EPA. Knowledge of hospital mechanical systems, including utility management and control system, HVAC systems, medical gases, electrical distribution, emergency power, fire protection/alarm system.

Located in Aurora, Colorado, The Medical Center of Aurora offers over 346 beds. It has five medical campuses, including the Main South Campus, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor.
