We are a Gynecology Practice looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist with background in office gynecology to join our team in Tyson’s Corner, VA. This can be full-time or part-time. Our practice is known for providing advanced, personalized care for women of all ages.

This position is responsible for front and back office duties including:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls, direct calls to appropriate party, return calls, and respond to voicemails.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Enter patient information into practice software.
  • Administrative functions to support clinic, including but not limited to:
    • Data entry
    • Photocopying
    • Prior authorizations
    • Faxing
    • Obtaining records
  • Coordinate telephone communication with patients, referring providers and other members of the health team.
  • Assist with preparing patients for examination.
  • Obtain patient medical history.
  • Obtain vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight).
  • Document results and patient information in appropriate systems and/or EMR.
  • Review medication list and history and physical form prior to patient seeing the physician.
  • Instruct patients with follow-up instructions as necessary.
  • Contact patients regarding test results or for other related reasons.
  • Perform clerical duties necessary for the physicians to see patients.
  • Flexibity to cover staffing needs for front and back.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Medical Receptionist is an integral part of our team. We see many women in a difficult time in their lives with both hormonal problems and/or vulva disorders, and our Receptionist is an immense help to each woman.

Requirements for this job is at least five years experience working in a physician's office. Working in an OB-GYN or family practice is preferred. If you are looking for an opporrrtunity to return to the workplace and are interested in menopause, this could be the job for you.
