Organizational Expectations :
As an IT Project Manager you will be responsible for organizing and driving forward concurrent cloud migration initiatives for Treasury Services business lines from inception to completion, including planning, management, coordination, and communication of related workstreams. This position is a key partner within the organization requiring communication with colleagues, business stakeholders, vendors, national IT partners, and teams across the Federal Reserve System and/or the US Treasury. This role would be dedicated to supporting a business line that is part of the Platform Evolution Program (PEP), which consists of System applications undergoing cloud migrations.
General Responsibilities :
  • Accountability for the management and coordination of multiple concurrent workstreams within the PEP program in adherence to PMIAA and the FRS System IT program management standards and methodologies
  • Partnership with technical subject matter experts across the technology, product, and operations teams to identify and manage work efforts, roadmaps, timelines, escalations, and strategy
  • Coordinates and communications with product and development teams to track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Preparation and presentation of materials to executive and broad organizational audiences
  • Engaging with applicable stakeholders to ensure achievement of Business Value objectives through effective scope management, work prioritization, sequencing, addressing impediments and cross-impacts, and resource identification and allocation.
  • Identifying, managing, and communicating risks, issues, dependencies for the technology efforts and workstreams
  • Developing and managing status reporting for the technology efforts and workstreams
  • Developing and maintaining accurate artifacts (schedules, resource estimations, change management, RAID logs, and issue management documentation)
  • Providing guidance and maintaining alignment with broader PEP program, Bank, System, and industry policies and standards
  • Identifying, communicating, and managing the technical dependencies on identified applications.
Education and Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related work experience
  • PMP certification preferred. In lieu of a PMP, relevant related project management experience and/or comparable industry agile certifications will be considered
Knowledge and Skills :
  • Proven experience in effectively managing and delivering large, complex projects from start to finish with effective and dynamic communication skills to a broad audience.
  • Proven experience in project coordination and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and presentation of executive materials
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Online
  • Experience in technology coordination in areas including architecture, security, testing, data, and integration, or the ability to quickly learn technology concepts in these areas
  • Comfortable driving results in complexity and ambiguity
  • Experience driving cloud implementations and working across product, engineering, and operations teams
  • Familiarity with Cloud Native AWS tech stack
  • Comfortable facilitating and leading discussions with large groups
  • Experience using agile methodologies
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and across teams
  • Preferred: PMP certification, Background in FinTech, banking, and experience working in or with an Agile product development team
Physical Demands and General Working Conditions :
Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air. May be required to work non-standard business hours or on-call assistance on an as-needed basis. High risk environment - single mistakes could cost Bank significant dollars and embarrassment. Time critical deadlines which cannot be altered - missing deadlines could cause the Bank significant dollars and embarrassment. Call assistance on an as-needed basis.
