Job Title: Knowledge Management Lead/Director

Position Summary:

The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is seeking top talent for its Knowledge Management Lead/Director position. The Knowledge Management (KM) Lead is responsible for ensuring that user needs for access to and sharing of organization knowledge, know-how, information and experience are met effectively and efficiently. This position will sit in the central hub of knowledge management for the organization and collaborate with formal and informal KM-related roles across the organization and our Technology team to optimize, better leverage and capitalize our knowledge to help: increase revenue through more expeditious and expanded access to information; reduce costs through less repeated effort or condensed time finding information; and improve performance and brand value promoting innovation, staff engagement and reduced staff attrition. This role will report into the Employee Experience team and partner with project/change managers, internal communications and analysts on the team to harness the knowledge embedded in our systems for maximum results.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and pilot knowledge management solutions to meet the prioritized needs of the organization (i.e., raising revenue in support of our strategic objectives), consulting with key departments and stakeholders supporting the effort.
• Develop a long-term knowledge management framework, including the management and administration of processes and tools that enable the organization to identify, create, document access and share tacit and explicit knowledge.
• Engage regularly with Information Technology to assess and decide on robust but cost-effective approaches to implement technology solutions for knowledge management and partner on the roll out/implementation of them.
• Lead the formulation and periodic update of knowledge management policies, guidelines and processes
• Direct and supervise the collation, appraisal and classification of legacy and new knowledge assets
• Contribute effectively to the development of corporate level knowledge pieces that amplify the employee experience (e.g., employee maps, global calendars, insights and statistics, etc.)
• Provide formats and recommendations in the management and use of SharePoint related to KM best practices (i.e., naming systems, taxonomy, etc.). 
• Ensure appropriate awareness about available knowledge management solutions and processes through training and internal communications
• In collaboration with other KM-support functions (formal and informal), Identify and document intellectual capital and lead content management across the organization.
• Create governance and support a community of best practices with formal and informal KM-roles across the organization.
• Provide advice to employees and projects on matters related to knowledge management
• Monitor progress by leveraging analytics to assess the impact, engagement, functionality and effectiveness of knowledge management plan 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Typically, will hold a degree in knowledge management, library science/information, business management or communications studies.

• Knowledge of KM theory and practice
• Knowledge of MS 365 applications (e.g., OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, CoPilot AI) and how to integrate to facilitate collaboration, content management and knowledge flow.
• Knowledge of the capabilities and functionality associated with various other technologies for organizing and managing information (e.g., Guru, Salesforce, Smart Simple, DOMO, databases, spreadsheets, bookmarking).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to introduce lead changes in process and programs through learning and training
• Experience in technical writing and editing
• Knowledge of evolving technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate ROI for recommended KM solutions and introduce and analyze other measures of success.
• Strong attention to detail and a “dot connector” to create systems that work across multiple areas to reach shared objectives. Proven ability to inspire and influence key stakeholders at different levels across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to balance competing demands effectively with an ability to prioritize and pivot as needed
• Advanced certifications in focus areas, a plus
• Experience in non-profit is highly desirable

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
