We are currently seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to join us in supporting the operational aspects of our real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities**Monthly Responsibilities:**
- Conduct month-end closing procedures
- Oversee budget operating reports, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare for board meetings by reviewing reports, conducting research, and providing necessary support
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and oversee replacement/capital additions schedules
- Manage reserves for replacement including budgeting and funding levels
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and reviewing budgets
- Contribute to year-end closing procedures and assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits
- Review documentation such as mortgages, contracts, and partnership agreements
- Experience: Two years in accounting
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
- Skills: Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency in accounting systems, strong oral and written communication skills, and effective planning abilities
- Office-based role with occasional travel required for business purposes
