The Michaels Organization is Hiring a Regional Facilities Management Director Near Leavenworth, KS

Position OverviewJoin our dynamic real estate organization dedicated to providing homes and exceptional service to our community. As a Regional Facility Director, you will oversee maintenance operations for a group of properties, reporting directly to the Vice President. Responsibilities
  • Review maintenance reports weekly to monitor productivity and workload.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly maintenance work order reports and financial information.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across sites through thorough review of Executive Summaries.
  • Oversee turn processes and staffing to support optimal operations.
  • Lead negotiations for national deals to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to Facility Directors as necessary.
  • Collaborate on creating long-term Capital plans for site improvements.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance policies.
  • Assist in budget preparation and contract execution.
  • Champion best practices and foster collaboration among staff.
  • Facilitate communication between VP and Owners for informed decision-making.
QualificationsExperience:
  • 5-7 years of Facility Director experience in maintenance or related construction fields.
  • Proficiency in relevant codes, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple sites within a regional portfolio.
Education/Training
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant Facility Management experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Necessary certifications as required by law.
  • Facility Management Certification preferred.
Skills And Abilities
  • Proficient in analyzing business documents and responding to challenges.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports, budgets, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and analysis.
  • Ability to forecast budgets and conduct financial analysis effectively.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel to various sites every 4-8 weeks.
  • Capability to work efficiently within deadlines.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to the area VP for strategic decision-making.
